Business Development Manager/Director (Platforms, EMEA) – OUTBRAIN

Job description:
Outbrain is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to focus on the Platform Ecosystem.
We’re looking for a profile with a strong analytical mindset with strong interest in new technology to work closely with new audience segments to develop the Supply side of our business. Our ideal candidate will have strong business development experience ideally within a digital environment supported by exemplary relationship management skills. As a Business Development Manager you will take full ownership of your Platform network in a specific region, working alongside the account management Platform team and you will be responsible for the long term growth of both existing and prospective clients.

Your Responsibilities:
– Establish long-term profitable business relationships with our Platform on the EMEA region
– Team up with the Account Management Team to deliver the best of our monetisation and recommendation solutions to our Platform according to their needs
– Work closely with our technical team to make sure our solutions can support new supply types
– Find new growth opportunities and close deals with new Platforms
– Forecast our growth and identify our needs, working closely with our Finance Team
– Negotiate complex distribution contracts with Platforms, alongside our Legal team support
– Work closely with our Programmatic team to set up Programmatic direct deals with Platforms

Experience and qualifications:
– You are a modelling and forecasting expert and understand the numbers – Experience in structuring and negotiating deals for a digital company or deals where an online component and revenue were central
– Strong experience in identifying trends in data and in generated reports
– Experience of working in the Platform digital media industry and understand the digital ecosystem
– Solid understanding of digital technologies/site monetization and ability to explain product benefits in detail
– Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and sales skills. Excellent relationship building abilities and experience in contract negotiations
